A Man's World?

Whether you believe it’s a man’s world or not, the reality is that the world is a much better place when men are happy, healthy and comfortable. When we’re lacking in one or more of these three categories, we usually compensate for it in ways that protect our ego but are ultimately self destructive and unhealthy for us and those around us.

The truth is, most men want to be the best father, husband, son, friend, lover, colleague, employer, etc. that we can be. In the perfect world, we’d all be born as the best version of ourselves and we wouldn’t need coaches or therapists but that’s not the case. In reality, fellas, we’re all a little fucked up. As men, we’ve got all kinds of trauma and conditioning that we’ve either ignored or suppressed most of our lives because, well, for generations prior we were taught to “pull ourselves up by our bootstraps.” So for many of us, that’s what we’ve done but don’t be fooled into thinking it hasn’t manifested itself in your life in one way or another.

Can you relate to any of the following?

For some of you, it might show up as a fixed mindset. You believe that your circumstances are out of your control and unchangeable. You are who you are and you’ve accepted the idea that there is nothing you can do about it. This kind of thinking has stunted your unlimited potential.

Perhaps it shows up for you as a dearth of fulfillment. You might have all the trappings of success as defined by society, yet you still feel an overwhelming sense of deficiency in your life and you can’t seem to fill that space with even more accomplishments.

Maybe for you it presents itself as a lack of confidence. Doubting yourself or your decision making abilities might be affecting your chances to meet new people, make important career choices or commit to big financial investments.

There might be some of you who are coasting aimlessly through life, with no sense of motivation or inspiration. You’re not excited or even care about the future, to the point you’ve stopped engaging with life, given up on your dreams and lost all passion.

It’s also possible that maybe you're the guy that’s overwhelmed and having difficulty managing your life. You've lost perspective and need clarity because every molehill seems to turn into a mountain and it’s causing you endless stress and anxiety.

How about love and compassion? Maybe your experiences have made you emotionally unavailable, so you can’t operate from a place of vulnerability and openness without feeling insecure or defensive. Maybe you're trapped behind your ego and it’s hurting you and the ones you love.

so what does it all mean?

For so long issues like these have been an unspoken dilemma for men and when they are left unaddressed it can often lead to bigger problems like depression, anxiety, anger, loneliness, drug addiction, alcoholism, gambling addiction, physical and sexual abuse, porn addiction, infidelity, and suicide. All with rates that are much higher amongst men than women. This doesn’t have to be you.

So why join a men's group, you ask? Well, joining a men's group provides a valuable opportunity for us fellas to connect with others facing similar challenges and experiences and foster a sense of community and belonging while offering emotional support in a non-judgmental environment. Together we will focus on personal growth, accountability, and navigating masculinity in today's world. We empower members to develop healthier expressions of manhood and strive for excellence in various aspects of their lives. By sharing stories, learning from diverse perspectives, and supporting one another's mental health, joining a men's group promote camaraderie, self-discovery, and well-being, ultimately enriching the lives of their members.
